Who Will Be At Christ's Return?

The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ will return to this earth and rule with a rod of iron. The Feast of Trumpets and Feast of Tabernacles picture those events soon to happen. But who will be at the Return of Christ? Does the Bible say who specifically? Yes it does and it may come as a suprise as to who is there.

You and I have been conditioned to believe that if we remain in a specific church organization we will be there at His return. Is that what the Bible says? Does the Bible say the following: "If you belong to the (fill in the blank) Church of God, you will be there at my return." No it does not. Then why is it being preached that way? Have you ever wondered what will happen to friends who have been kicked out or left a church organization? Will they make it? Will they be there? Or will they loose out because they are not in a particluar church organization? What does your Bible say about these questions?

First, let's review the second coming of Christ and see what happens? Quotations will be from the New King James Version and all comments within the scripture will be in italic. I Thess.4:13 - 17 : But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, Who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven." acts 1:9-11

"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. john

Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
