The only time the Bible uses the phrase "The Lord's Day" is in Revelation 1:10. " I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet...,"

Many preachers will speak about the Lord's Day when refering to Sunday, but are they right? Which day is the Lord's Day?

Let our Lord and Saviour answer that question in Mark 2:27-28 - "And He said to them, 'The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.'"

He says He is Lord of the Sabbath, NOT Sunday!

Now some might ask which day of the week does the Sabbath fall on. Others will say that the death of Christ changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. What does the Bible record for us?

Matt.28:1 - "Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb." This scripture is after the death of Christ and says that the Sabbath and Sunday (first day of the week) are seperate days!

Jesus Christ is Lord of the Saturday Sabbath day. Saturday is the Lord's Day.
